To check the bona fides of a company who has contacted you about participating in a survey, you can search the AMSRS Research Company Directory for their name, and also view a profile on the company. The telecommunications regulator (ACMA) introduced a Do Not Call register for telemarketers on 31 May 2007.  Market research is not subject to the Do Not Call register.
