QPMR accreditation can be suspended for 12 months only under the following circumstances: - if you are leaving the industry for a period of time to work in another industry or overseas;
- if you are away from work for an extended period due to ill health; or
- if you are taking maternity, paternity or carers leave.
If you are taking leave due to other circumstances, apart from inability to complete your renewal diary, please contact AMSRS to discuss your request. Members wanting to suspend their QPMR accreditation are required to submit an Application for QPMR suspension form stating their reasons for requesting a suspension and providing an approximate return date to the accreditation program. Members are also required to submit a copy of their Professional Development Diary documenting their Professional Development activity up until the time of their suspension request. PLEASE NOTE: Applications will not be accepted without an accompanying diary. Applications for suspension are referred to the QPMR assessors. When on suspension QPMR members are temporarily removed from the scheme and unable to use the nomenclature or claim QPMR accreditation. PLESE NOTE: To re-enter the QPMR scheme members are required to advise AMSRS when they re-commence work and return to the industry so their QPMR status can be re-instated. A copy of the Application for QPMR suspension form and the Professional Development Diary are available via the above links. On completion of the required documentation please submit it to the AMSRS office.
