Brian Phillips from Swinburne comments
Brian Phillips, director of post-graduate statistics programs at Swinburne University reports that, in the past 10 years, there has been increased interest from a range of people in government and industry seeking courses in multivariate statistics. In response to increasing demand from market researchers, the university is now developing a subject called Statistical Marketing Tools. It aims to provide market researchers with a suite of statistical tools for market segmentation, prediction and classification. Experts from Statistics@Swinburne will run the subject jointly with industry specialists. The subject will include conjoint analysis, cluster analysis, correspondence analysis and multi-dimensional scaling techniques.
